finding a voice
as a child, maybe you were told your opinions were worthless, or perhaps you weren't allowed to have a voice. As an adult, maybe you still find it hard to articulate verbally. Perhaps you pause too long gathering your thoughts into considered observations only to have others interrupt during your hesitation, filling the gap with their own opinions and the opportunity is lost. You feel yourself being smothered by the indifference of others, an echo of your childhood. Somehow through years of frustration, of searching, the glimmer of possibility remains and gives you the strength to break through the apathy and find a voice.

conformity
how aware are we of the influence conformity has on the decisions we make? We arrive at conclusions based on the cultural rules of the society in which we live without even realising that those thoughts may not be our own. Perhaps we need to consider our own assumptions and preconceptions, allowing us the freedom to question accepted norms and explore possible alternatives with open minds.
abstract studies
Concentrating on colour, this series of studies explores the self imposed boundaries of six colours plus white.
reflection
a personal journey into one particular day last year. A surreal and dream-like day when I said goodbye to my uncle. This is an exploration into the various emotional states that washed over me. Complex and fleeting, too ephemeral to explore fully at the time as they surfaced and dissipated like early morning fog.
